On a related note:

Currently I spend most of my time these days editing scientific research papers, mostly medical research. I would like to cut back on that a bit and focus on more Silk Road related projects if possible.

But that takes sponsors. Unfortunately my one sponsor passed away in 2021 - of COVID-19. So visitors to this site are cordially invited to contribute to this noble endeavor via the PayPal below. Thank you for your consideration.

If you haven't seen my Silk Road Kung Fu (very) amateur video, it's below. The captions are in Chinese, but the photos tell the story and the music is mostly American. Hopefully one of these days I'll make other versions in English and other languages. I love to inspire people to travel the great ancient and modern Silk Roads more. Profound wisdom and wonders await all those who have the courage and energy to get out there and travel (as soon as COVID-19 abates).
In the meantime... Learn! Study languages. The free APPs available for studying foreign languages these days are amazing!
