The Isan speaking provinces of Thailand are up in the northeast. As one can see below at least where I live there is a lot of standard Thai mixed with Isan which is officially recognized as a dialect.
I added the Thai spelling and phonetic English (bold and in parenthesis) the way it sounds to me. I don’t have software for Thai tone marks and Isan can have more than five tones anyways. My phonetic English spellings are more like mnemonics than depictions of real Isan. For this reason, I asked a friend to help make recordings of Isan language words and phrases to get the tones right.
I'm going to change the recording below in a couple of days as some changes in the text above were made, and my friend and I are both pretty busy right now.
